Hyderabad: The Central Zone of Greater Hyderabad tops the list of property tax paid in 2013-14 with around Rs 450 crore. It is followed by the West Zone which has paid nearly Rs 350 crore. However, Rs 400 crore tax is still pending from all zones.
Central Zone includes Golkonda, military area, Hakimpet, Mehdipatnam, Langer Houz, Esamia Bazaar, Agapura, Gun Foundry, Amberpet, Kacheguda, Himayathnagar, Bholakpur, Nallakunta, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Yousufguda, Sanathnagar, Khairatabad.
Areas in West Zone are Serilingampally North and South, Ramachandra Puram, Patancheru and Kukatpally.
Meanwhile, GHMC deputy commissioners have been directed to pursue top 250 defaulters, who have to pay an outstanding amount of Rs 55 crore towards property tax.
