Watch: President Barack Obama out on a surprise stroll, meets and greets people

Washington: Taking a walk may not sound extraordinary to a common man. But when the ‘most powerful man’ does that, the world is taken by surprise.

President Barack Obama surprised many present in the park as he casually took a walk and greeted people.

"It's good to be out," he said as he strolled around, with his suit jacket tossed over his shoulder. "The bear is loose."

According to reports, President Obama was heading to the nearby Department of the Interior from the White House and that’s when he decided to break with tradition.

The folks, who definitely weren’t expecting to meet the President of the United States of America, were surprised as Obama shared words with vendors, tourists and children.

While he apologised to joggers for ‘messing up’ their run, he conveyed birthday greeting to someone.

Another woman called it the best day of her life, as she uttered, "Are you real?". She then posed for a photo with Obama, saying, "Oh my gosh, someone is going to think you're, like, wax."
