New Delhi: The mastermind of the Patna serial blasts, Hyder Ali, alias Black Beauty, has in a startling disclosure revealed to his interrogators that major terror outfits operating in the Kashmir Valley like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen had joined hands with Indian Mujahideen and Simi with the sole objective of eliminating Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi.
Ali, along with three others, including a juvenile, has been arrested in a major breakthrough by the National Investigation Agency along with central intelligence agencies.
Their arrest has not only led to solving of the Patna, Bodh Gaya and Hyderabad serial blasts, but also the disclosure of several important information regarding the functioning of terror outfits in the country.
Ali has already disclosed that Patna serial blasts carried out Mr Modi’s election rally in October last year were done with the sole objective of killing him.
Ali, who is said to be heading the Ranchi module of the Indian Mujahideen that carried out these blasts, disclosed during custodial interrogation that the ISI top brass was extremely unhappy with the failed attempt on Mr Modi’s life at the Patna rally.
The ISI, he claimed, felt that Indian Mujahideen and Simi which had jointly carried out the explosions was not competent enough to carryout such “major operations”.
Following the Patna incident, the ISI top operatives directed that all major terror outfits should pool their resources in targeting Mr Modi.
“The threat to Mr Modi is very high as these terror outfits are still on the lookout for an opportunity to target him. A few days ago some key Simi operatives had openly raised slogans threatening the PM elect during a court hearing in Madhya Pradesh. So the threat perception remains high and we are closely monitoring activities of these subversive groups,” a top security official said.
Intelligence sources also claimed that the BJP’s tremendous victory in the recent Lok Sabha elections under Mr Modi’s leadership has also irked these terror outfits.
Both the NIA and central intelligence agencies have briefed the Special Protection Group on these recent revelations so that Mr Modi’s security can be revamped accordingly.
SPG sources have already admitted that Mr Modi’s security will be the highest among all the Prime Ministers so far considering the high threat perception to his life.
BJP’s tremendous victory in the polls under Mr Modi’s leadership has also irked these outfits.
