Rakhi Sawant resigns from Rashtriya Aam Party after her debut debacle

After getting a miserable response from voters, the actress has taken an exit route
Mumbai: Item girl-turned-politician Rakhi Sawant enetered politics by forming an independent party, Rastriya Aam Party (RAP). However, she managed to gather around 2000 votes for her independent party. Post the poor show, she has offered her resignation. (see picture)
The actress contested the Lok Sabha elections 2014 from Mumbai North-West constituency and had resolved to restore women's safety in the city.
