London/Taiwan: HTC unveiled the HTC One mini 2, the latest addition to its HTC One series. Featuring a compact, yet generous 4.5” HD display, HTC Sense 6 with HTC BlinkFeed and a 5MP front-facing camera, the HTC One mini 2 brings in the metal craftsmanship.

Sporting the same breakthrough design that led HTC to receive an iF gold product design award in 2014 for the HTC One (M7), the sleek HTC One mini 2 features the curved back and brushed Gunmetal Gray finish of the HTC One (M8), also available in Glacial Silver and Amber Gold.
In addition to that, it has a 5MP front-facing camera, for high-quality selfies, which has a self-timer installed. To give those self-portraits an element of professionalism, the HTC One mini 2 also features Touch Up for subtle beauty enhancements to smoothen the skin, eliminate red eye and adjust the contours of the face.
HTC BoomSound: HTC One mini 2 packs HTC BoomSound technology to deliver powerful, crisp and clear audio. Equipped with the same amplifier as the HTC One (M8), the One mini 2 delivers rich tones from bass through to treble, producing high-quality, immersive sound through the dual-frontal speakers.
HTC BlinkFeed: Turning your home screen into a live stream of the latest news and social updates, HTC BlinkFeed makes the important content more accessible and easier to read. Adaptable tiles display your social media updates and favorite news topics, giving you the latest information direct to your home screen.
Zoe Highlight: This allows user to create videos and share them with friends and family via the HTC Zoe app and other social media channels. The Remix function allows your followers to add their own photos, videos and soundtracks to create new Zoe Highlight videos.
For the ones looking for a compact version of HTC One (M8), there's now HTC One Mini 2, which is basically a diet version of HTC One (M8). From M8, there has been a cut down in various features in the new entrant handset, namely the M8 has a super LCD 3, while the Mini 2 has a Super LCD 2. The former has a full HD 5-inch display vs an HD 4.5-inch display in the latter; M8 comes with a 2GB RAM while Mini 2 has a 1GB RAM, a dual 4 MP (ultra pixel) camera in M8 vs a 13MP in Mini 2. The processor in the M8 is a snapdragon 801 quad core 2.3GHz while, HTC One Mini 2 has a Snapdragon 400 quad core 1.2GHz processor. In addition to these, M8 has an Adreno 330 GPU vs an Adreno 305 GPU in Mini 2. The battery in the two also differs with that of 2600 mAh vs the 2100 mAh in Mini 2. Indeed, the HTC One Mini 2 is a pocket-size version of the HTC One M8.
The HTC One mini 2 will be available in EMEA and Asia in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold from June 2014. There is no official confirmation about its pricing.
