Mumbai: Deepika Singh, who recently got married to Rohit Raj Goyal, resumed shooting for their show Diya Aur Baati Hum last week. Speaking of how it feels like to live with her new family, Deepika says, “I have known Rohit’s family for a while now and it feels great living with them. They are very supportive.”
Deepika had to get her mehndi removed before resuming the shoot, which happened within a few days of her wedding. She says, “I wasn’t keen on putting too much mehendi on my hands as I knew I would be resuming the shoot soon. But Rohit’s family said a bride must look like a bride on her wedding day.”
Deepika couldn’t hide the mehendi with her uniform. “The uniform that I wear on the show cannot conceal the mehendi on my hands. My makeup man to had to add a lot of foundation to make it look like natural skin colour. I also have to take care not to eat with my hands.”
About honeymoon Deepika says, “Our honeymoon is yet to be planned. We need to create a bank of shoots for the show before we take off for a long vacation.”
