Dismal figures at the ticket windows

Decent word of mouth and overall good reviews are leading Hawa Hawaai

It was a very poor weekend at the box office, with half a dozen releases failing to collect even 10 crores among themselves. While Hawaa Hawaai did lead from the front, it was strictly on a comparative note as the collections were on the lower end, despite a reasonably well spread out release. Koyelaanchal made some moolah from single screens but was still very low on collections. Mastram wasn’t any better either. On the other hand Yeh Hai Bakrapur, Manjunath and Khwaab didn’t have numbers worth speaking about. With some decent word of mouth and overall good reviews, Amole Gupte’s Hawaa Hawaai managed earnings around Rs 3 crores*.

It would have to be super-strong at the box office with no fall whatsoever in the weekdays if it has to stay in the run. The same goes for Koyelaanchal which opened to mixed reviews and brought in only around Rs 1.5 crores*, which was similar to Mastram’s figures as well. The other releases couldn’t even cross the 1 crore* mark.On a positive note, 2 States hit the Rs 100-crore mark, with more likely to come in.
