Hyderabad: Going by the odds trending at the national level, the BJP was the most favourite and tipped to win 200 Lok Sabha seats on its own without any alliance while bookies are hardly giving the Congress 100 seats, with multiple odds below 85.
Punters believe that Mr Narendra Modi will be the next prime minister of the country with NDA forming the government at the centre by reaching the magic number of 272 through alliances.
Given the multiple odds on the Congress, its prospects of forming the government are very thin according to the betting trends.
The most bets placed are on Mr Modi being the next pm with 0.42 paise returns being offered to a rupee. Congress’ Mr Rahul Gandhi becoming the prime minister is attracting odds of Rs 6.5 per rupee whole for AAP’s Mr Arvind Kejriwal, bookies are offering an astronomical Rs 500 per rupee.
