Smart locks will now let you open/close doors with a smartphone

Smartphones will now wirelessly be able to swipe open your home or office doors

Mumbai: KISI, a smart keyless access system maker recently showed off their new gadget. The device is able to connect to your smartphone using the internet and open or close the doors to your office or home.

Engadget reports that KISI is a mobile-connected device, which allows you to control entry into a building with a simple system that is managed by a smartphone.

KISI has launched last year, but has acquired a number of customers already in the US and are expecting area investors to soon put in a whopping $1m.

The KISI is said to be compatible with any access control system that is already present at the premises. It allows building owners to upgrade their systems with minimal installation. Once installed, you can simply get rid of any keys or access cards that you may have to give to family members, tenants or employees.

The access is controlled by your smartphone and landlords can simple enable or disable access to the tenants using their smartphones. Key recipients can then use a free iOS or Android app to slide a button and unlock the door. The device is priced at around $350 with a subscription of $2 per month.
