Y S Jaganmohan Reddy speaks in Hindi to woo Hyderabad voters

We will come to power if not in this election, in the next one, says Jagan Reddy

Hyderabad: YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy took the city by storm on the last day of the Telangana campaign. Surprisingly, he spoke in Hindi in various minority-dominated areas.

He began his speech in Khairatabad constituency in Telugu by thanking people for waiting for him in the scorching heat. On the suggestion of Khairatabad YSRC candidate Vijaya Reddy, he then switched to Hindi. He told voters, “I am sure of coming to power in Seemandhra, and in Telangana as well we will come to power if not in this election, in the next one.”

He recalled his father's legacy. “When you go to vote, remember YSR and his welfare schemes. Others may make empty promises but when we come to power we will give houses along with pattas and make every welfare scheme a meaningful one.”

He said one needs to change the system and bring in value based politics. “We play the politics of people’s welfare unlike others who come during elections and drift away after the polls never to be seen till the next elections.”

While introducing PJR’s daughter Ms Vijaya Reddy, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “She will be a real and good MLA and work for your welfare.” Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy also campaigned in Jubilee Hills, Ibrahimpatnam, Qutbullapur and LB Nagar Assembly constituencies. Cyberabad police stopped him from speaking at Ibrahimpatnam stating that the time was up.
