Adilabad: Union minister Jairam Ramesh described TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s hunger strike as dubious, alleging that the latter might have taken all which needs to save his life and called Mr Rao a fake Telangana Gandhi, unlike Mahatma Gandhi who Mr Ramesh said had not taken even water for 25 days when he took up deeksha in the past.
Mr Ramesh alleged that the TRS chief’s relatives are contesting in 15 MLA and five MP constituencies in Telangana in 2014 polls which he said indicates that the TRS is a family party.
Addressing road shows in Adilabad, Mr Ramesh described the TRS, the TD and BJP as parties which divide the people in the name of religion, language and region but Congress unite the people and maintain harmony and peace among the different communities appealed to the people to throw out the old and damaged Ambassador car (symbol of the TRS party) by a kick as nobody these days using old Ambassador car as it required somebody’s help to get start.
Jairam Ramesh said that Mr Rao has not played any role in creation of Telangana state.
