Selling vada pav is an art: Ranbir Kapoor

The actor raises fund for a blood cancer patient by selling Mumbai’s favourite snack
Mumbai: In a bid to do his bit for a fan, Ranbir Kapoor, as part of Colors’ Mission Sapne, stepped out on the streets of Mumbai to sell one of the city’s favourite snacks, vada pav. The actor braved the scorching heat to raise funds for little Sunita who is undergoing treatment for blood cancer.
Ranbir, who also has a family member battling cancer, said he could identify with Sunita’s family’s troubles. Talking about the experience of street vending, he said, “I realised that vada pav selling is an art. I thought it would be a cakewalk, but it wasn’t. I couldn’t break the pav into two equal halves. Then the chutney would spill all over. But given a chance, I would like to do it again.”
When on the job, Ranbir obliged everyone with his or her requests. Cashing in on his popularity, the actor charged '50 for every autograph, and '20 for every handshake. He also posed for pictures, danced and mouthed lyrics of popular songs apart from dishing out vada pavs. When the crowd got hysterical, Ranbir quickly changed his location.
He signed off saying, “Cancer will never win while we have brave-hearts like Sunita.”
