Tollywood director ditches ‘budget project’ as new film starts shooting in June

Hyderabad: After almost five years, Kamal Haasan will be doing a Telugu film, directed by Teja. According to a source, the director recently narrated a story to the actor who agreed to do it. The film will be made in both Telugu and Tamil and the shooting will start in June.Kamal Haasan’s last Telugu film was Eenadu, the remake of the Hindi film Wednesday, in 2009.

Teja, who was supposed to do a budget film with new faces, has dropped the project and is now concentrating on the Kamal Haasan film which he might also produce. “I did meet Kamal Haasan. But I can’t reveal any details as of now,” says the director when contacted.

Kamal Haasan is currently busy with Uttama Villain, and a Tamil film which is a remake of the Malayalam hit Drishyam, and also Viswaroopam-2.
