Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax has finally, and officially, announced the launch of the Doodle 3 smartphone in India and priced it at a great price of Rs 8,500.
The smartphone will be available online and in stores from tomorrow and available in two colour variants—white and blue. The Doodle 3 will also feature unlimited movie access for six months from BigFlix. Smartphone buyers will also get free magnetic flip cover with the smartphone.
Though the smartphone is cheap, the device is low on hardware resources. Canvas Doodle 3 sports a 6-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480x954 pixels. It runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.3GHz dual core processor with just 512MB of RAM. The internal storage lies at the standard 4GB with expandable an option of up to 32GB. A 2500 mAh battery fuels the smartphone and offers talk time up to nine hours. The Doodle 3 sports a 5MP rear camera with flash and the front camera is a standard VGA.
The highlight of the Doodle 3 is the M!Doodle app. The M!Doodle application is intended to make messaging fun by allowing users to doodle chats, animate, scribble smileys and write text over clicked pictures.
Additional apps included in the Doodle 3 are Kingsoft Office, Opera Mini Browser, M!Live for downloading music, Getit for searching places around you and a few gaming apps such as Marble, Rope Cut and Jelly Jumper.
