Karan Johar puts ‘2 States’ success bash on hold

He will not celebrate the success of his new film without co-producer Sajid Nadiadwala

Mumbai: After just four days of the release of the Karan Johar-Sajid Nadiadwala produced film, ‘2 States’, the Alia Bhatt-Arjun Kapoor starrer has been declared a hit. Karan is keen on celebrating the success of his co-produced film by throwing a huge bash, but has kept his plans on hold as his partner Sajid is currently in Poland shooting with Salman Khan for the upcoming film ‘Kick’, Hindustan Times reported.

An insider was quoted saying, “Sajid had originally bought the film adaptation rights to Chetan Bhagat’s book, After that Karan approached him to come on board as a co-producer. Now that the response to the film has been good at the box office, they want to celebrate it with a big bash. But Karan decided to wait for Sajid to return to India first.”

The insider also added that when karan called Sajid to congratulate him on their partnership, he told him that the bash has been put on hold.

Sajid confirmed the news. The film-maker who is currently in Poland shooting, is expected to return by the end of this month
