Botsa Satyanarayana asks people to review his work, vote

Botsa has been representing the Cheepurupalli constituency for the past 10 years

Visakhapatnam: Former PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, filed his nomination on Saturday in Cheepurupalli along with his wife Jhansi, who is a Congress MP and contesting for Vizianagaram Lok Sabha seat, and other leaders.

Addressing a gathering at a public meeting held at the four-road junction, Mr Satyanarayana said he has been representing the constituency for the past 10 years and had never done anything against the public interests.

He appealed to the people to review his performance and then decide on supporting him or not. He added that election in Vizianagaram would be a face off between the common people and aristocrats and voters must support one who has been striving for the progress of the area.

“I never used power for my personal use. Former minister Ashok Gajapathiraju has never cared for the problems of the people. He was using power for his own interests. If my wife is elected as MP once again, she would serve for the progress of the district,” he said.

Congress leaders took out a huge rally from Mr Satyanarayana’s camp office to show off their strength in the constituency. Local Congress leaders Yadla Audiraju, S.V. Ramana Raju, Venkata Narasamma and others participated in the meeting.
