Giving actors’ names to animals has become a trend and Trisha’s friends have named a pup ‘Trish’

Chennai: Last year, an adorable baby hippo at the Arignar Anna Zoological Park was named after the gorgeous actress Trisha, who is an ardent animal lover.
Now giving actors’ names to animals has become a trend and Trisha herself has identified the pattern. The actress recently tweeted about how pleased she was to learn that a few puppies have been named ‘Trisha’.
She wrote on her microblogging website, “So two of my friends have named their adopted puppies ‘Trish’. Soon there might be more ‘Trish’ puppies than ‘Trish’ humans in my world. Such an honour!” While naming puppies after humans is usually less welcomed, particularly by celebrities, it is generous of Trisha to share her name with many fur babies too.
