Pawan Kalyan to campaign in Karnataka

Pawan Kalyan will address public meetings in Raichur, Kolar and Gulbarga

Hyderabad: Actor Pawan Kalyan will go on a day’s campaign in Karnataka on Tuesday. With Karnataka going in for polls in a single phase on April 17, the actor will leave for the neighbouring state on a special aircraft from Begumpet on Tuesday morning. The campaign will end at 5 pm.

Pawan Kalyan will address public meetings in Raichur and Kolar reserved Lok Sabha segments in the morning while another public meeting will be held in Gulbarga, which is also a reserved segment, if time permits.

Significantly, the Jana Sena founder, who had been silent after the Visakhapatnam meeting, decided to take up campaigning for the BJP in Karnataka following his brother and Union minister K. Chiranjeevi campaigning in pockets of Karnataka where there is large presence of Telugus.

According to an official press release issued by the public relations officer of Pawan Kalyan, a delegation of representatives of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi met the former and held discussions on his participation in BJP campaigns.

State BJP president G. Kishan Reddy accompanied the representatives of Mr Modi.

The PRO claimed that welfare of people of the two states and sensitive issues relating to religion and region came up for discussion. After deliberating for one and a half hours and securing an assurance that the BJP would work beyond religion and region, the Jana Sena executive decided that the actor would campaign for the party.
