Hyderabad Governor takes a dig at Mumbai "dabbawalas"

Hyderabad: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan had words of appreciation for the postmen in the city.

Speaking after releasing a book titled Heritage Hyderabad at Raj Bhavan on Monday, the Governor, in a lighter vein, said the postmen in city deserve more credit than the “dabbawalas” of Mumbai for delivering the post.

Taking a dig at the postal address system in the city, he said people hardly use street names and give lengthy door numbers as address.

Praising the city’s rich heritage and culture, the Governor appreciated the efforts of author M. Krishnanand who chronicled the historical monuments in the city of Nizams.

The Governor’s wife Vimala Raman, special CS N. Ramesh Kumar, author and veteran journalist P. Venkateswara Rao were also present at the event.
