I have more affinity with Aishwarya, says Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth doesn't believe in remakes?

Chennai: In a special interview by versatile comedian Vivek for a leading Tamil television channel, Superstar Rajinikanth was asked about whom among his two daughters, Aishwarya and Soundarya, was his pet.

Though the actor first said that both were his pets, he, however, added that he had more affinity towards Aishwarya.

“When she was a kid, I was at the peak of my career and was too busy to be at home. Aishwarya grew up in my in-laws’ place in Bengaluru for six years. Whenever I return home after a hectic shooting schedule to be with the family, I would always miss her. Perhaps that’s the reason I got closer to her.”

Rajini feels strongly that old classics should not be tampered with. Reacting to a question on whether he would act in Part Two of his all-time favourite yesteryear blockbuster, Baasha, pat he replied, “Old is Gold. No one should touch them or try to make a sequel or prequel to them. I will never ever do that.”

He also cited an example. “The legendary MGR has done several dual role films, but none created the magic and kick which his Enga Veettu Pillai did. So, let’s leave those classics remain like that.”
