Chennai: Now, the actual countdown for the release of the Superstar’s period drama, Kochadaiiyaan, has begun as the makers have finally announced the date to be May 9. The movie’s release date was earlier postponed twice.
Confirming the news to DC, Dr Murali Manohar of Media One Global Entertainment, one of the producers of Kochadaiiyaan, asserts, “There won’t be any further change. May 9 is the final release date. We could not stick to the earlier dates which were announced as we needed more time for postproduction work since the movie was getting released simultaneously in various languages. Now, we have completed KC in all aspects. Since it is a big budget bonanza, we did not want it to clash with elections in the country. By May 9, elections in all the southern states, namely Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Karnataka and Kerala, will be over, apart from Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab, Bihar and certain other states. So, we will have a hassle-free release.”
Meanwhile, Soundarya, who has directed the movie, has also confirmed May 9 as the release date of her magnum opus on her microblog and has raved about her dad’s Hindi dubbing.
“Kochadaiiyaan releases on May 9. Hindi version is dubbed by our Thalaivar himself,” she has said.
