Chennai: After Paradesi, Dhanshikaa is determined to continue the success wave that she attributes to director Bala, with her next project, Vizhithiru, in which she takes on the challenge of comedy for the first time.
“I play a real local Chennaiite slum girl — loud, boisterous and slightly tomboyish. It is an exciting challenge and the movie boasts of a terrific ensemble cast. It is a dimension story, with four or five perspectives, and a script that I was instantly impressed by,” she remarks excitedly.
Meanwhile, Dhanshikaa has also become very active on Twitter where she’s gained a lot of praise for her no make-up selfies and participation in spreading awareness on cancer. “Who doesn’t like taking selfies? It’s also really nice to interact with fans,” she says.
