Narendra Modi set to visit Karnataka again on Sunday

Not able to get the dates from both Mr Advani and Mrs Sushma Swaraj

Bengaluru: Of the four phase campaign scheduled by leaders of the state unit of BJP, the last and final leg of electioneering will commence on Friday and last till Tuesday.

Sources in the state unit of BJP told Deccan Chronicle that during the last leg of campaign, prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would tour the state again on April 13 to address elections rallies in Chikkaballapur, Chikmagalur and Haveri.

The leaders, however, were uncertain about elections rallies to be addressed by patriarch L.K. Advani and senior leader Sushma Swaraj as both had not approved their itinerary so far. If both these leaders approve the schedule, local leaders would organise rallies for them.

“We have not been able to get the dates from both Mr Advani and Mrs Sushma Swaraj. Both the leaders are busy campaigning in other states and both of them are facing elections,” the sources added.

The party has been able to take its leaders to all district head quarters with Mr Modi visiting all four regions of the state. He has covered all four revenue districts of Karnataka. The party has been able to arrange his rallies in Mysore-Mangalore region, Bengaluru, North Karnataka and Hyderabad Karnataka regions. Following his visits, the party has received a good feed back from its workers, the sources said.

When compared with other states, Mr Modi has spent more time campaigning in Karnataka as the party considered the state where the party could win maximum number of seats among southern states.

Like him, former Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa has addressed maximum rallies across the state. Whenever the party requested him, he agreed and addressed rallies, said a party leader.

In last leg of campaign, the party would accord priority to both public rallies and door-to-door campaign.
