Defeats her counterpart Jovana Jaksic in all Serbian final

Monterrey (Mexico) : Ana Ivanovic defeated Jovana Jaksic in straight sets in an all-Serbian final of the WTA Tour’s Monterrey Open on Sunday. The second seeded Ivanovic rolled over the unseeded Jaksic 6-2, 6-1 in just over an hour on the hardcourts to capture her 13th singles title and second of the season.
Ivanovic, who earned $110,000 with the win, fired four aces and saved five of seven break points. She beat Danish star Caroline Wozniacki in the semifinals to reach the championship match. The 20 year old Jaksic was searching for her first WTA Tour singles crown. Jaksic finished with no aces, three double faults and saved four-of-10 break points.
