BJP tries to tap youth, businessmen

Party to focus on increase employment opportunities in the country
New Delhi: BJP on Monday promised to bring back confidence in the India story by promoting industry, rationalising taxes, cutting red tapeand making “doing business” in the country easy.The party said that it will not allow FDI in multi brand retail. However, BJP said that FDI will be allowed in all other sectors wherever needed for job and asset creation, infrastructure and acquisition of niche technology andspecialised expertise.
BJP in its manifesto released in the national capital promised to build 100 new modern cities, expedite freight and industrial corridors and set up global hubs of manufacturing to boost growth and increase employment opportunities in the country. In pr oindustry steps, BJP promised to address over regulation to stop harassment of businessmen and to make decision making on environmental clearances transparent as well as time bound.
On taxes, the saffron part said that it will provide a non-adversarial and conducive tax environment to the business.
Recently a number of multi national corporations have been complaining about tax environment in India. BJP said that if voted to power it will overhaul the tax dispute resolution mechanism.
