Deepika Padukone ditches ‘Shuddhi’ for ‘Bajirao Mastani’

Both films have great scripts but the actress had to pick one

Mumbai: It was previously reported that, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, finalised actor Ranveer Singh to play the lead role in his dream project, 'Bajirao Mastani'. Bhansali had this project on his mind for the past decade.
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, will play the leading lady of the film opposite Ranveer Singh, reported Bombay Times.
The actress had earlier been confirmed for Karan Johar’s 'Shuddhi'. According to reports, both films have great scripts but Deepika picked ‘Bajirao Mastani’ over 'Shuddhi'.
'Bajirao Mastani' is a first grand step by Bhansali, towards making his dream come true.
