One million bubbles in every glass of champagne?

Liger-Belair came up with a new way to calculate the number of bubbles in a glass of champagne

Washington: A researcher has estimated that there are one million bubbles in each glass of champagne.

Gerard Liger-Belair took into consideration temperature, bubble dynamics and the tilt of a flute, Liger-Belair came up with a new way to calculate the number of bubbles in a glass of champagne.

Liger-Belair said one million bubbles seem to be a reasonable approximation for the whole number of bubbles likely to form if you resist drinking champagne from your flute.

The report has been published in ACS’ The Journal of Physical Chemistry B.
