EOS 1200D: A new Canon DSLR camera launches in India

EOS 1200D comprises of 9-point auto-focus system and can support more than 70 lenses

March 28, 2014: After launching in Japan, Canon has launched its new DSLR camera model ‘EOS 1200D’ in the Indian market as well. Comprising of a 9-point auto-focus system, it can support more than 70 lenses from the EF range.

This camera is the successor to the Canon 1100D. It is also capable of stretching up to 60fps but at a 720p HD resolution. The Canon EOS 1200D ships with a 3.0-inch TFT monitor placed on its 129.6mm x 99.7mm x 77.9mm body.

Techshout reported, ‘This camera’s sensor is an 18MP APS-C CMOS one, while it carries onboard the tried and tested DIGIC 4 processor as well.

"The EOS 1200D is an exciting addition to our DSLR range. With powerful features and user-friendly menus the EOS 1200D is ideal for first time buyers," said Andrew Koh, Senior Director, ICP Business Centre, Canon India

The cost of EOS 1200D DSLR camera is Rs. 30,995. Its kit is also packed with several options, which includes EOS 1200D + 18-55 IS II lens for Rs. 34,995, and EOS 1200D + 18-55 IS II & 55-250 IS II lenses for Rs. 39,995.
