‘My personality suits that of a villain’: Abhinav

Abhinav talks about his journey in Kannada movies

An engineering graduate from NIT Warangal, Sardar (now Abhinav) made his debut as a lead actor in 2010 with Tejam. He then went on to act in Harmones and a few more films. Now, with a few projects in hand and also after his debut in Kannada, Sardar, who has changed his name to Abhinav, is balancing his job as a marketing manager in a private firm and films. “When I started working, the authorities gave permission to act in films. Usually, I take leave for shooting,” he says.

The actor, who did his MBA from Tiruchinapalli, adds, “Actually I wanted to join the Army. That’s the reason I studied in Korukonda Sainik School in Vizianagaram district. But after the written examination I could not pass the interview.” “I wanted to do all kind of roles. But my personality suits a villain and I like it. Till now, I have got good roles.” He adds that R.P. Patnaik is directing his Kannada film, Vyuha. “It’s a political thriller,” he says.

Abhinav also wants to start an NGO. “The ground work is going on and I will announce it soon. It’s about an old age home and will provide education to poor children,” he says. About his upcoming projects, he informs that apart from the Kannada film, he is playing one of the leads in a film named Gate, and another film Prematho Mee Ravi.
