It was recently reported in a leading newspaper that, actress Deepika Padukone has been finalised and signed for Karan Johar's next , 'Shuddhi'. After completing 'Happy New Year', she will start shooting for Imtiaz Ali's next opposite former boyfriend and actor Ranbir Kapoor, after which, she will commence shooting for Shoojit Sirca's, 'Piku'.
After 'Piku', she will finally start working on 'Shuddhi'.
'Shuddhi', the period reincarnated romantic film is expected to go on floor in 2015. Initially, Karan Johar had Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in mind for the leading roles of the film but due to personal reasons Hrithik opted out of the film, thus leading to a reconsideration in the casting. The male lead for 'Shuddhi' is yet to be decided.
