Jobless father of 18 gets 300k pound home from taxpayers’ money

London: A father of 18 children from 10 different women, who accused the council bosses of violating his human rights by refusing him a six-bedroom house, is now set to get his wish fulfilled. The council has apparently lost the legal battle and now have to buy him a property worth 300,000 pounds, with taxpayers’ cash, Daily Star reported.

Earlier, Peter Rolfe has said that the council was discriminating against him and his kids, asserting that they had a duty to make sure that his family has a decent place to live.

Councillor Gordon Kendall, the authority’s cabinet member for housing, said that Rolfe was operating the system to his own advantage. Jonathan Isaby, Chief executive said that the 64-year-old jobless man already has a large home at taxpayers’ expense and the idea that it was his human right to be given a larger one was insulting to all those who are struggling to afford their own houses. Peter shares his cramped home with son Peter, 19, daughters Rose Anne, 18, Marie Anne, 15, Carrie Anne, 14, Leeanne, 17, and her one-year-old twins Lexi and Courtney.
