Football coaches from Reading FC arrive Arunachal in search of talent

This is the first time for Reading FC to train any players in India

Itanagar: English Championship side Reading Football Club (RFC) coaches Keith Greene and Jamie Carr, along with advisor Tomo Nomuk, arrived in Itanagar for a talent-hunt programme to pick youngsters and train them in the next six months.

This is the first time for Reading FC to train any players in India, Nomuk said. Greene, having 18 years' coaching experience said that he had heard that Arunachal Pradesh has lot of potentials.

"The routine would be same when we visit various selected places of the state for hunting talents and train them," Greene, flanked by Carr, having six years' experience, said.

RFC entered into a MoU with the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) on September 30 last year to give a new thrust to football in the state. The MoU was signed by Lok Sabha MP Takam Sanjoy, representing Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) as its president, and Nomuk on behalf of the English club, in the presence of Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, State Sports Authority chairman Tapuk Taku, MLAs Ralom Borang and Techi Kaso, officers of sports authority and members of sports & youth affairs department and the media.
