Kishan Reddy dares Asaddudin Owaisi

BJP state president criticised the remarks made by Owaisi wherein he challenged Narendra Modi to contest from Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy on Monday challenged MIM president Asaddudin Owaisi to contest against him from Amberpet Assembly constituency if the latter was confident about his strong standing. Mr Reddy criticised the remarks made by the MIM president wherein he challenged BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to contest from Hyderabad.

Mr Reddy said that Mr Owaisi’s political stature was not even comparable to the national leaders like Mr Modi and Mr L.K. Advani. Even a BJP worker could take on Mr Owaisi him if the latter contests from the Amberpet constituency. There are about 50,000 Muslim voters in Amberpet and a majority of them would vote for the BJP, he claimed.

Mr Reddy also said that the MIM brought no development in the Old City despite winning seats for the last many decades. He ridiculed Mr Owaisi’s call for secularism. Without taking Akbaruddin Owaisi’s name, the BJP state president said that the MIM’s leader who has delivered speeches against the Hindu gods was still speaking in the same tone. Mr Reddy, meanwhile, said that the party’s national president Rajnath Singh would tour Hyderabad on March 11.
