Wounds are deep, will take time to heal: Rohit Shekhar

Sekhar fought 9-yr battle to be acknowledged as son by former AP governor
Hyderabad: Thirty-five-year old Rohit Sekhar, who fought a nine-year battle with Andhra Pradesh’s former governor N.D. Tiwari to get acknowledged as his son, has said the “fight is not yet over in the court of the law”.
Speaking to DC, Mr Shekhar said, “The wounds are so deep that it would take some time to heal. It all depends on how Tiwari behaves with my mother and me.” Mr Sekhar now wants to file a PIL in the Supreme Court seeking that words like “concubine”, “bastard” and “illegitimate” be struck from the law books. “I will fight for the removal of these words from the legal lexicon.”
He added, “I didn’t believe that this would happen. Mr Tiwari declaring that I am his son has helped restore my mother’s dignity as well as mine.”
“When he acknowledged it, I saw honesty in his eyes. There is still some honesty in him,” said Mr Shekhar.
