Apple’s new technology will help car drivers to access iPhone functions

Apple has developed the ‘iOS in the Car’ technology to enable drivers to access various iPhone functions through a car's built-in screen itself. Its launch has been scheduled for the next week.

As stated by the Financial Times, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo will be jointly launching this at the Geneva Motor Show 2014.

Apple had revealed the details of iOS in the Car at its Worldwide Developers Conference of 2013. VP Eddy Cue, a Ferrari board member also showed a demo of LCD with Apple menu buttons for maps, phone, music, and messaging. Cue said the functions could be accessible via Siri as well. Cue said Chevrolet, Ferrari, Honda, Jaguar, Mercedes, Nissan, Volvo and others would be introducing iOS integration this year.

Cnet also reported that this technology can also be essential for people texting, checking news, watching movies, and playing games, and for massive growth areas such as transportation, home automation, and health care as well.
