Bangalore: On his knock: Not really a satisfying knock. If they were three or four down, then I’d feel like I’d done something. Now I feel I should have upped the ante towards the end. But I was confident that Mithun would play well and he’d be there till I get the hundred. Mithun’s dismissal is disappointing. I told him he has to get 6 or 7 wickets in the next innings to make up for this. The 90s seem like it doesn’t like me too much. Hopefully we can win this game and I get another opportunity to get a big score.

On Karnataka’s batting failure: After batting in the first innings, I thought we would learn and come back stronger. Credit to (Murtaza) Ali, he kept it in the right areas. A few bad shots here and there, hopefully, it won’t cost us the game. I think we have enough runs on the board so I’m not worried at this point.

On the fourth day’s play: We know our conditions better and batting fourth is never easy. 333 in fourth innings is never easy. If we get a couple of wickets, the pressure is back on them. Hopefully, we don’t miss Sharath too much.
