Kochi: The additional sessions court of North Paravoor on Saturday acquitted actor Vijayakumar in a case related to the seizure of black money (kuzhalapanam) worth Rs 25 lakh.
Judge V.S. Bindu Kumari acquitted Vijayakumar want of evidence. The prosecution case was that on February 10, 2009, a relative of Vijayakumar, Henry, was arrested with unaccounted money from Kalamassery.
Henry allegedly deposed that the money belonged to actor Vijayakumar and that he carried the money at the instance of Vijayakumar.
