During the launch of her new store, Sussanne Khan seemed ready to carry on with life after her split with husband Hrithik Roshan.
Playing the perfect host, she made sure everyone was comfortable and said that the store was a New Year’s gift to herself. “I have been looking forward to the launch of this store. I have put in a lot of effort in its making,” she said, adding, “I had taken a sabbatical when my children were born and were growing up so I did not have the time to pursue my dreams.”
Ensuring that the conversation strictly revolved around her career and store, she said, “I feel I am blessed and god has always heard my prayers. I have always wanted to try my hand at architecture projects and I had done a couple of projects earlier too. Currently I have a few projects in hand all over the country.” She added, “Having a much smaller area, we decided to bring together fashion, accessories and also architecture under one roof.”
“I have inherited architectural know-how from my mom. I was influenced by her ideas. Thereafter I went to California to learn more about architecture. And here I am… It is like a dream come true,” she said.
About her kids’ future she said, “Surprisingly, both Hrehaan and Hridhaan are inclined towards building things. But if they want to join films they can do so. Hrithik and I will support them in whatever they choose to do.”
With the subject of family coming up, we broached the topic of her estranged husband and she said, “Hrithik is not in India. Presently he is in LA… We know our duties towards our kids and our folks.”
She is currently going through some trying times, is the pressure getting to her? “I do not feel any pressure as I am fortunate to be surrounded by good people. I feel blessed with the support from my in-laws, my family and everyone else… Everyone has been good,” she claimed. When asked if there is a possibility of Hrithik and her coming back together, she only gave a non-committal “maybe”.
However, the moment, “Arjun Rampal” was mentioned, Sussanne wrapped up the interview.
