Narendra Modi is best bet: Somu Veerraju

Says BJP will return to power in the next general elections.

Rajahmundry: The BJP will flourish under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi and will return to power in 2014 elections. The Assembly election results of the four states which were announced on Sunday provide ample indications to this extent, said BJP national executive member Somu Veerraju.

Commenting on the election results which were declared for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattishgadh and New Delhi, the veteran leader analysed that the voters in Andhra also will be with the BJP in extending support to the leadership of Modi and the party is hoping for repeat of 1998 results in these parts of the state.

He expressed happiness over the landslide victory for the party in Rajasthan as the people were vexed with the misrule and corrupt practices of the Congress.

While hailing the MP chief minister Sivraj Singh Chauhan’s ability as an able administrator which guided the party to third successive win in a row, he analysed the Bastar incident as the reason for less number of seats in Chhattishgarh.

“In fact, our party won 11 seats in the previous election and now the number has come down to five due to the extremist incident in Bastar area. Even then we got one seat extra, that is 51 this time to the earlier 50,” he said.

Commenting on the just three seats less to BJP from the absolute majority of 36 in New Delhi, the senior leader attributed it to the emergence of Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP). The people of Delhi have seen enough of Congress misrule and the AAP could cash in on it to some extent as a new party, he observed.

However, the forthcoming general elections will be different where the local issues play lesser role and the BJP would wrest all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, he observed. Veerraju spoke to this corespondent on Sunday on the party’s success in four states.

as foundation for future political developments which ensure return BJP to power within months from now under leadership of Narendra Modi at Centre.
