ISI using Nepal politicos for anti-India operations: Tunda

Authorities have already alerted counterparts in Nepal.

New Delhi: Top Lashkar-e-Tayyaba terrorist Abdul Karim Tunda has revealed that Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has managed to develop a network of informers and sympathisers among the top political leadership and bureaucracy in Nepal and is using them effectively for its anti-India activities, particularly in circulation of fake Indian currency notes.

Highly-placed intelligence sources said Tunda claimed that top ISI officials and Lashkar founder Hafiz Saeed had informed him about this network of “influential people in Nepal” helping them in their operations though they did not mention specific names in front of him. Sources claimed that Indian agencies have now passed on the information to their Nepalese counterparts.

This aspect, sources added, has also been mentioned in Tunda’s comprehensive interrogation report which has been forwarded to the MHA and other security agencies. Tunda was arrested in August this year and his interrogation has given valuable inputs to Indian intelligence agencies regarding the functioning of ISI and LeT.
