Alice Springs: The captain of a Cricket Australia Chairman's XI side which will play a two-day game against England starting Friday says the visitors can expect more on-field verbal invective.
Michael Beer said Thursday "that will be the aim, to make it a little bit uncomfortable for the opposition ... I don't think it will be too hostile. There will a little bit of chat."
A sledging controversy began during last week's first test in Brisbane, where Australia captain Michael Clarke was fined 20 percent of his match fee for warning tailender Jimmy Anderson to prepare for a "broken arm." Australia won by 381 runs.
Beer's lineup includes 16-year-old Sydney schoolboy Jake Doran. The second test begins next Thursday in Adelaide.
