Visakhapatnam: KGH doctors corrected a surgical mistake made by some doctors in Goa. They surgically removed a forceps from the abdomen of a patient who had undergone surgery in Goa.
Palavalasa Mohan Rao, 55, went to Goa in September 2012 for plumbing work and suffered an injury on his abdomen in April 2013. Doctors at the Bambolim Medical College hospital conducted a surgery on April 3.
He developed pain later, returned to his village, and approached KGH. The forceps was removed, and doctors said it will take some time to say about his condition.
KGH Superintendent Dr M Madhusudan Babu said it was forceps and the hospital doctors had removed it successfully along with damaged particles in the abdomen.
