I try and follow a high-protein diet: Genelia D’Souza

I have been an athlete all throughout my school and college years, and that has really helped me stay fit all along. But if I have to really work out, then it is just jogging and a couple of crunches. That’s it. I don’t tune my body to heavy exercises. I have a trainer who comes to my place and I work out for half-an-hour at the most. I also run at times to remain active. I look slim and petite enough but believe me, I eat too frequently to check myself from unnecessary snack-craving.

Being a non-veg Mangalorean, fish is my staple diet. I also have chicken at least once a week. But red meat is a strict no-no for me. I usually start my day with a glass of warm water and at breakfast, two egg whites, a slice of bread and a cup of coffee after a 30-min gap is a usual routine. My early morning shoots though begin with only vegetable juice. For lunch, I prefer having two rotis with a vegetable and a non-veg dish. Basically, I try and follow a high protein diet. While during dinner, I consciously avoid carbs.
