Unnao seer now wants to dig out gold himself

Sarkar’s emissary, Swami Omji and his supporters are attempting to start digging around the ruins of the Raja Rao Ram Bux fort.

Lucknow: Unnao seer Shobhan Sarkar, who had dreamt of a 1,000 tonnes of gold lying buried in Daudiya Kheda village in Unnao district and had spurred the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to start digging in the area, is still optimistic of the treasure.

The ASI, which did not find gold or any other precious metal after digging in the area for almost one month, has already wrapped up digging operations. But now, Sarkar’s emissary, Swami Omji and his supporters are attempting to start digging around the ruins of the Raja Rao Ram Bux fort.

As the seer’s team reached the site, hundreds of locals also rushed in to start digging and find their pot of gold. Sensing trouble, the district administration has stopped the seer’s men from digging and the police has been deployed.

Talking to reporters on behalf of Shobhan Sarkar, Swami Omji said that no scientist in the world could bring out the gold unless the seer wanted and that is why despite GSI testing, the ASI team has not found gold in the area.

He said that the seer must be given a fair chance to supervise the digging operations in national interest.
