Mahesh who made a promising debut with Vasantha Balan’s Angadi Theru is back with a powerful role after a long gap. The actor has silently completed a film titled Sithan which is directed by Duraivaanan, a former associate to ace filmmakers Ameer and Sasi Kumar.
Giving him company is Niranjana from Mollywood who is debuting with Sithan. Talking about his movie Durai says, “Sithan means one who renounces everything in life. An incident turns hero Mahesh’s life upside down and he starts drifting away from normalcy. For this role, Mahesh shed 10 kilos”.With Madurai as the backdrop, Durai says that the influences of Ameer, his mentor, are visible through the film. Satish Chakravarthy of Leelai fame has scored the music.
